I always love seeing these guys pop up in my plants. I bumbled on to this character among the Serrano chile peppers this morning. :bear_thumb:

A sign of good fortune. I brought one in a few years ago for my boys. We kept her in a nice cage for a while and fed her crickets. It's amazing watching the Mantis eat their prey. She would grab the cricket and bite it's head off. Later we let it go but in the meantime she had laid a pod in the house. One day we came out near where the cage was and there was at least a hundred tiny Mantis's.

I have to admit I googled "mantis herpes". The disturbing part was the amount of search results returned but, thankfully, none of them related to Praying Mantis transmitting herpes.
